We are hiring!
The Children’s Chorus of San Antonio is seeking PERMANENT PART-TIME Music Together® teachers in San Antonio, TX. If you love children, love music, aren’t afraid to be silly, are comfortable leading a group, and are interested in regular part-time work… Music Together might be the perfect fit!
Join our team of teachers in sharing this extraordinary, joyful & educational program with young families across San Antonio.
Job Requirements and Training
Music Together teachers must be able to confidently sing in tune and keep a steady beat in their upper and lower bodies. Playing a portable instrument is a plus but not a requirement.
You don’t need a music degree to teach Music Together. Our teachers come from many different backgrounds: they’re actors, professional musicians, stay-at-home parents, teachers, and nurses, just to name a few. What they all share is the desire to bring music-making back into family life. If you share our values and enthusiasm we want to hear from you!
To become a Registered Music Together teacher, you must attend an intense & inspiring online training. The training consists of six 3.5-hour live interactive sessions on Zoom, plus five self-study modules, for a total of approximately 26–30 hours. Teacher training costs may be subsidized depending on circumstances.
Following successful completion of your online training, you will complete a multi-week (paid) apprenticeship with one of our teachers.
